 A cool building in Vancouver

Heyoooo

So definitely big unexpected changes this past week ðŸ˜‚ I am now in Vancouver. In kind of a run down apartment building but it's chill because so many missionaries live here so it's pretty dope. It's always a party!

A view from the plane into Vancouver

me and Sister Higham!

Sister longs bday !
Found ice-cream in the freezer on Sunday, major win.

The sisters did this to our door for when I arrived! They are so cute ❤

So early this week was so great! We got the news Tuesday night ish that I was going to be leaving on Wednesday to go to Vancouver so we tried to pack that night and stayed up pretty late. Then we visited soooo many members and said goodbye. It was really sad and sudden.

I got on the plane and got to Vancouver! The minute I arrived we had a meeting for an hour and we literally worked until like 10:15. That's been a theme so far its great! So turns out I came to be STL to the biggest zone in the mission! It's been so crazy. We like never have time to eat and we are responding to messages and calling people from literally, 6:30-10:20 everyday. Life is so busy.

The first day we helped the sisters switch around all of their apartments because one of the sisters had to get tested for covid so that was fun! We are all also eagerly waiting for those test results!! We don't think she has it dw.

me and sister Stephan (also a reassigned missionary. She served in Peru and we both actually got to this mission June 10th lol)

Sister Stephan

We had some amazing lessons this week. One of which we found on Facebook. She talked about how excited she is to start her journey and how this is what she's been looking for. She wants a better relationship with God so badly and it really is so admirable. I was pretty sad to leave her but I'm so glad I was able to have at least one lesson!!

Ellen got baptized!!! It was such a special experience and I am so happy for her. She was so happy and I was glad I could be there through Zoom. She is such an amazing woman.

Also I found a Thai person on Facebook in Vancouver and I've already skyped with her, and we have an appointment next week! It's so cool to talk to people in Thai again, I've definitely missed it lol.

Well lots of change this week but I'm excited!! The past couple of weeks I've really been trying to work on having more meaningful prayers, because God is our actual father and he misses us! He wants to hear from us everyday, the good and the bad. The power of prayer is Real, God will help us in our life and I promise he does hear our prayers.

I love you all!

Have a good week,

Week 47-Wolf dogs, and trapeze bars!

August 3, 2020
First of all I can't believe it's already August!! That is so crazy!! Time really does fly by!!

So crazy story. We were helping a member out with her garage sale (she's downsizing so it was a pretty dope garage sale) and this lady came and wanted this table! But it turns it didn't fit in her car, so naturally sister Higham and I offer to carry it to her house for her in 40° weather!! It was fun, we got a good workout out of it. So turns out this hour we went to was first completely off the grid. The couple were cirque de soleil performers for 15 years in vegas, they built the house themselves, complete with trapeze bars and all (she showed us a bit too!), they had a pack of wolf dogs, and she's also like this insanely good artist, also she had a near death experience in Costa Rica and got healed by a some dude there too. Sister Higham and I were shook. Also they fed us popsicles! So we ate popsicles with cirque de soleil performers, it was nuts. They invited us to come back to learn some trapeze stuff so who knows I might come back and join the circus!!
Free brand new Christmas sweater

Helping out at the garage sale!!

We got all of that chocolate and candy for free!!

We were able to do a lot of service again this week which was super nice!! Also a member gave us a shout out in testimony meeting and told everyone they should invite us over because we have a super awesome message that we can share ðŸ˜‰ we celebrated after that.

We celebrated sister murphy's 9 months by getting ice cream and then sister Meekers 1 year by getting Wendy's and ice-cream!! It was pretty sweet, lots of celebrations up in here.

Ice cream from the cutest little place

We also did beach day missionary style for pday today!! We played a bunch of beach volleyball(other people joined which made it more fun), got ice cream, ate watermelon, pb&j sandwiches, threw a football around while wading in the water, and soaked up those rays ☀️ it was a good time.
Beach day!

Parasailer that was super close to us lol

Also funny culture thing in the okanagan. When people ask what you do here, they are NEVER TALKING ABOUT WORK lol. They are talking about extracurriculars, hobbies etc. Everyone and their dog at least does mountain biking and hiking around here. Also a lot of water sports and stuff. Everyone is so active I love it

The work has also been going super well!! We are teaching some amazing people and we really have been able to get the ward involved and its been great.

I love being a missionary. I really do. Some days are rough and I wonder what I'm doing out here or what even is my purpose at this time when we can't really talk to people. But there is so much I can still do!! The lord blesses any bit of effort. He will take what you do and magnify it... Always. Even if it doesn't feel like we are doing much we can still see miracles!! And we have!! We found someone this week through Facebook who loved the idea of a loving Heavenly Father and wants to know more about everything. We will be meeting with her on Tuesday! God will always prepare a way.

I love you all, have a great week!!

Week 46- Transfers!!

Kelowna

July 27, 2020

So I have been horrible about writing group emails for the past 2 weeks but I promise I will be better!!

So we did have transfers, sister Greenwood left to Chilliwack, and now sister Meeker is here!! Apparently in this mission it isn't normal to stay with a comp more than one transfer which is so weird to me!! I guéss it keeps things interesting though!!,
sister greenwood leaving!!

sister Meeker and I heart attacking some doors!!

                                                                           Slurpees and car wash!!

Life is so good here in Vernon honestly! We are teaching some amazing people that just have inspired me and already changed my life so much. The members here are also so good. We have had so many good evenings with them and wonderful days with them!!

We have done a bunch of service these past few weeks and hope to be doing more! A lot of fruit picking, organizing, yard work, and even using our laughs for a film one of the members is producing!! My laugh and voice is goung to be FAMOUS.

It has been a great couple of weeks! Matthew (a young boy) will be getting baptized this week or the next and it's so exciting because he's been waiting so long!!! And then Ellen who is one of the most amazing women I have ever met will hopefully be getting baptized in a few weeks too! She always talks about how she finally feels like she's home when she learns about the teachings of our church and she loves God and Jesus Christ so much. She is so willing to do what it takes to follow him. Man I love her.

one of the little girls Dean, that we are teaching!!!

Todd received the Priesthood today

Also shout out to Elder Fiore who had his birthday on the 13th!! Also sister Murphy had her bday, and my comp hits her year mark on the 31st so lots of celebrating going on up in here!!!

We also had John bytheway speak to our mission again which was AWESOME. he's so good!!

I've also been doing language study with some friends from my mission so it's been super fun!!

It's been a good last couple of weeks!! There will be a lot of pictures up on my blog, and I promise next week's email will be better!!

I love you all, and I know God loves you all!!

Have an amazing week!

Love,
