Week 59- Heyooooo! Visitors from home!!

Hello everyone!! Not too much to talk about this week.

My new companion is awesome and it has been so fun with her!! She's from Utah and is a dancer so she's sick, we also have the same mission birthday so the 11th of every month will be a party!!

Also a family from home (the Thomas family) came to visit me!! It was so fun to see them and catch up with them 🥰 Dave is my Stake President and married to Kelly, who is my second cousin and Liam, Jared, Isaac and Marin are my second cousins, once removed:)  and best of all, great friends.

We were able to do some fun meal prep service this week.

A Thai person that we are teaching from Edmonton wants to get baptized and so does her husband! We are so excited for them. It's really cool. To see how God prepares people and how happy people are to learn of a loving Heavenly Father who actually communicates with us and does everything for our good!

I am so excited to be in this apartment building with so many sisters because we are going to do trick or treating amongst ourselves and carve some pumpkins! It'll be a party.

The young girl who was making our tacos the other day said that if she had time she'd want to join our church... That's not something you hear everyday!! So awesome!!

It has been a good long week! We are keeping busy as always and so that's such a blessing!!

Week 58- Transfers Already!

I know I have been so bad at writing emails lately!! I'm so sorry!

Conference was amazing!! I love how it was so applicable to anyone, and how much it focused on love and unity and being merciful to people. I think it's a message we all needed to hear.

So sadly sister Stephan is leaving me.

Our plan to get discounted Halloween candy is now not happening but she is going to dogreat things in her next area! My new companion will be Sister Montague and I'm so excited to meet her!

I gave a homeless man a granola bar the other day, he took it, thanked me, and then walked back to his spot and threw it on theground. I think he probably wanted money instead.

The work is moving along! It's been really cool because most of the people that we've been finding who want to learn more are all Thai people! It's so cool hat God has prepared a way for me to find these people and help them find more peace and joy in their lives.

I love the work, it's hard sometimes, and things rarely go the way we plan but God always has our back, in everything.

Week 54- Long Time No See!!!!

Food Drive!!!

 So I totally wrote this last week and completely forgot to send it!!

So a few quick updates!! Vancouver got destroyed this week. Sooo much smoke (I had a super bad headache the entire time), this invasive moth species is infiltrating, and yeah. It's been wild.

 a member bought us Chinese food and had it ordered to the church for us!!

MAC !! That's the trophy for all the district v district stuff and we got it now...LETS GO

District 3 legged race

5K run this morning for the Elder's who got into the accident :(

They closed a bunch of apartments in the mission and we asked the elders to bring us a hand mixer, and an 8x8 pan, and this is what we got....

We are teaching some AMAZING people!! They just want to follow Jesus Christ and it is so inspiring to me. I love being able to shareabout the thing that had brought me the most joy and happiness.

Week 51- Transfer Day but staying in Vancouver

This week was super good! We did a ton of service, more on that last week! Andy (our Thai friend) is going to get baptized which is soooo exciting, and we definitely experienced a lot of miracles. I am staying in Vancouver with Sis Stephan so I'm super excited about that!

Vancouver Seawall

Some highlights:

- An got baptized!! So cool ! 

- had a really good lesson with Andy, and he loved the plan of salvation, especially the fact that we can have eternal families!

- we went to the seawall in Vancouver and it was so beautiful, also had a random girl that I met on Facebook join us who just recently moved from Toronto so that was awesome! 

- we did district FHE with our sistrict and it was legendary 

- we got free honey Koren facemasks from one of our friends 

- sister Stephan ran into a really scary lady on Facebook and the result of that was everyone in the mission having to block her.... Craziness 

- we got slippers from a really cute old chinése grandma to wear in her house. She let us keep them lol

Okay so I understand there was some confusion with who my companion actually is. I go with a lot of different missionaries, and do little exchanges with them so that's why I'm with a lot of other girls. My comp is Sister Stephan, she served in Peru and is from Alberta aha.

Week 49- Vancouver

I have zero time this week so here are some pics!

A bunch of these are from the hike "the grind" it's called that for a reason! It's 3km of straight up hill and some stairs. Sister Bingham and I beat the elders time too!! They even did 100 flights of stairs everyday for 2 weeks to train for it lol. It was intense, we were all so sweaty and red faces after but it was so worth it.

Also the last one is with our new Thai investigator Andy!! He is so awesome and I love that I've been able to meet so many Thai people here!!
