First things first. I had no idea eggs could explode and make a sound like a gunshot. Don't overcook your eggs in the microwave folks. I had egg all over me it was a disaster.
I know I haven't written in a while, but life has been good here in Vancouver!! We have our apartment all decorated and our presents under the tree! Sister Montague and I are really excited to stay together for Christmas.
A bunch of missionaries went home including my good pal Sister Stephan!! I missed seeing her one last time by three minutes. It was heartbreaking.
We are teaching some amazing people right now. I do love being in vancouver Bevause there are so many different people ans different experiences all in one place. The work never slows down here!
I've been thinking about the difference between joy and happiness lately. We aren't supposed to be happy all the time. If you are happy all the time I think there might be something wrong with you!! But because of jesus christ I think we can feel joy no matter what. Joy in the sense of a very innate peace and comfort because of the knowledge that He is our Savior and He is there for us. So even in the hardest and the most stressful of times we can still feel that joy. The kind of joy that doesn't leave you feeling empty. I think that's what we are all looking for and I know we can find that through Jesus Christ. That is why Christmas is such a big deal to us!! Because He really did change everything.
